Motor Neuron Disease, or MND, causes people to progressively lose the ability to move and speak. Existing communication tools help people convey what they need, but not who they are. Many simply stop trying.

In 2023, we saw AI image generation as a breakthrough waiting to happen for the MND community. But tools like Midjourney aren't built for people who type with their eyes.

Built in collaboration with Smartbox—the makers of the ubiquitous Grid Pad communication device—Mind's Eye is a mobile app designed from the ground up for eye-tracking. Typing is replaced by a library of visually intuitive buttons, allowing prompts to be built easily. Finished images share directly to the messaging, social, and email apps they already use.
