A classic American board game reimagined for a uniquely American problem, Impossible Operation is an unwinnable game to expose the medical side of gun violence.

Assault rifle bullets have explosive and irreparable effects inside the body, leaving physicians nothing to work with and patients to die. Until now, physicians were forced to keep their frustration to themselves.

Impossible Operation is an ironic symbol of the frustration and difficulty physicians experience when attempting to repair assault weapon injuries, informed by ER doctors who've seen the damage firsthand. Designed to be unwinnable, the new, unimaginable patient was a young schoolgirl with an assault weapon wound.

Physical board games were mailed to key US senators. National media picked up the story, ultimately driving the public to tweet the online game to all 100 US senators. More than 5,000 doctors participated in the campaign, sharing photos online and challenging other doctors to follow suit.
